Welcome to Mrs. Hickman's Science Class

Welcome to the second six weeks. Let's make it the best that it can be.

I will be teaching Biology and Environmental Systems. My conference time is: 10:25-11:19. If you would like to discuss your students progress, I would welcome your visit. You may call the school and make an appointment.

The success of the student is my top priorority.

I have taught science for 22 years and coached for 18. I love my subject and I love my sports!

I am married and have two sons. The oldest, Marcus, is 23. He is attending school to become a radiology technician. My youngest, Hayden, is about to be 20. He attends Tarleton State and majoring in Computer Information Systems. I am very proud of them.

I am from North Central Texas,Dublin, a town a little smaller than Crockett. It is known for it's Dr. Pepper made from pure cane sugar.

Our Environmental systems class is designing a proposal for Biosphere 3. This will be a complete sustainable environment for all life.

Their drafts for this proposal are due Friday Oct 14th for review. They are working in pairs. They are to write a proposal of all the materials necessary to create this new Biosphere.

I have posted some websites that should be of some help with their design.

Our biology classes are studying Cellular Processes for half of this six weeks. We have done labs on diffusion and osmosis. They have a list of Vocabulary words to be familiar with.

Our ninth grades need to make sure and get all work turn in on time and listen in class. Some of their grades are showing this. I will do all I can to help. Remember, you can always call me at school for a conference. Success of the student is our MAIN goal.

Ms Hickman for Crockett High School is currently under construction. Please come back later.
