It’s that time of year again!
Mrs. Kristi Bell at our Elementary Campus has a Toy Drive in memory of her first born, Addison Hope. Mrs. Bell will deliver the toys to Texas Children's Hospital in downtown Houston. She takes the toys there because that is where Addison was born.
Mrs. Bell requests that the toys you are donating, are new toys. They can be any toy you would like to donate. Please do not wrap the toys, they must be unwrapped so the workers at TCH can sort the toys out and give them to the kids that will enjoy them the most.
Mrs. Bell has begun collecting the toys in her room (C109-3rd Grade Hall). Friday, December 14th will be the last day she will collect them. She will deliver the toys the next day, Saturday the 15th of December.
**The Reason Behind the Toy Drive**
In 2011 Mrs. Bell was in Texas Children’s Hospital. While there, Santa Claus came and visited Addison in the hospital and brought her a stuffed bear. Her husband witnessed this and said it was pretty magical. It meant the world to them. So, Kristi decided to celebrate Addison’s life by donating toys so other babies and kids can celebrate Christmas while they stay in the hospital.
Mrs. Bell stated, “Each year the toy drive has grown and I am so thankful! Thank you Crockett ISD!!!”
This year the Toy Drive is open to the entire District and Public. Please help us fill Mrs. Bell’s car to overflowing with all types of toys and maybe a Stuffed Bear or two.
Please drop your donations off at Crockett Elementary Office marked “Bell Toy Drive” before Friday, December 14th and remember, do not wrap.
