Crockett, TX 6/16/2025 — The Crockett FFA Chapter at Crockett High School has been recognized as one of the top-performing FFA programs in the state through the inaugural Texas FFA Golden Cup Rankings — a new statewide recognition platform that highlights the most competitive, involved, and well-rounded FFA chapters in Texas.

Ranked 3rd place out of more than 1,100 FFA chapters statewide, Crockett FFA earned this distinction through consistent participation, strong competitive performance, and meaningful student involvement across a wide range of events during the 2024–2025 academic year.

“This recognition reflects the hard work and commitment of our students, our agricultural science teachers, and our supportive community,” said Chris Wilder, agriculture science teacher and FFA advisor at Crockett High School. “Our students are not just preparing for contests—they’re preparing to lead in agriculture, business, science, and service.”

The Texas FFA Golden Cup Rankings are modeled after the UIL Texas Cup and track chapter performance in Leadership Development Events (LDEs), Career Development Events (CDEs), Speaking Development Events (SDEs), state-level awards, scholarships, and more. Points are awarded based on participation, final placings, and program engagement at all levels.

Throughout the year, Crockett FFA excelled in areas such as:

● Earning State Champion School Based Enterprise AND State Champion Outstanding Service Learning Awards

● Qualifying eight teams for state CDEs in Cotton, Farm Business Management, Forages, Forestry, Marketing Plan, Milk Quality, Nursery/Landscape and Plant ID

● Receiving 3 American FFA Degrees

● Receiving 8 Lone Star Degrees.

● Advancing 14 Proficiency Awards to State with 1 State Winner
