Attention Crocket High School 9th and 10th grade students,
The cosmetology program at CHS is opening up applications to students who will be in the 10th or 11th grade in the 2025-2026 school year. I have attached a copy of the application below for your information. You can pick up a paper copy of the application in the front office with Ms. Seale.
Students who complete the cosmetology program will leave CHS with the credentials to enter the workforce upon graduation.
The deadline for applications is April 28th.
There is a mandatory informational meeting on May 8th at 5:30 pm in the CHS library.

Crockett High School is approaching the time of year when they begin to choose classes for the 25-26 school year. If a student is interested in taking an honors class, you must fill out an Honors application. This application is required for all current honors students as well as those students wishing to get into an honors class for the first time and is due in the counseling office on due April 28th.

CHS has now opened up applications for the 2025-2026 CNA/Phlebotomy program. Any student interested in a career in the medical field is encouraged to apply as these classes offer a wonderful base of knowledge and experience for your post-secondary training in medicine.
Students can pick up paper copies in the front office with Ms. Seale.
Applications are due to the office by April 28th.
A mandatory informational meeting will be held May 15th at 5:30 in the CHS library.

Crockett ISD DOES have school Friday, April 4, 2025.

Crockett High School's Mrs. Sample’s Food Science class had a great time in their gluten-free lab today, where they prepared Belgian waffles. In this lab, students compared the texture, taste, and appearance of gluten-free waffles to those made with traditional gluten flour. The results revealed notable differences in texture and appearance, yet only minimal variation in taste.

April is D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything And Read) Month, and Crockett Jr. High will be participating by dedicating one day a week for everyone to drop everything and read for 20 minutes. Research shows that reading for just 20 minutes each day can expose students to as many as 1.8 million words per year and help them achieve scores in the 90th percentile on standardized tests (Nagy, Anderson, and Herman, 1987). To support these efforts, we would like to involve parents by encouraging them to take 20 minutes for reading both in class and at home.
