On January 29, 2026, five amazing students earned the chance to slime Coach Lane after reaching our Heart Challenge goal of raising $50 or more each!

As always, we encourage families and staff to use caution while traveling, especially on secondary roads and during the early morning hours. Good evening Crockett ISD Parents, Staff, and Community,

Due to another round of freezing temperatures expected overnight, combined with wet road surfaces that are forecasted to ice over by morning, Crockett ISD will be closed on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.

While major highways and heavily traveled roads are expected to be treated and cleared first, many of our less-traveled and rural roads are likely to remain hazardous into the morning hours. A late start would not adequately address these safety concerns. Additionally, travel conditions will present challenges for a majority of our staff members who commute into Crockett during the early morning hours.

At this time, we believe conditions should improve and roadways should be largely cleared by approximately 1:00 p.m. tomorrow. However, the decision to cancel classes was not made lightly and was based solely on the safety of our students and staff.

Currently, students will not be required to make up this instructional time.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to prioritize the well-being of our Crockett ISD community. Please continue to stay safe, and we will provide updates as needed.

Overnight temperatures are expected to remain dangerously low and are forecasted to drop further, creating hazardous travel conditions particularly on county roads, shaded areas, and bridges.

In the interest of community safety and with the well-being of our students and staff as my top priority, I have made the decision to cancel classes on Monday, January 26, 2026.

Please note that this day will not be required to be made up by students, and the district calendar will remain unchanged.

Please continue to exercise caution and stay safe. An update will be provided on Monday regarding potential conditions and district operations for Tuesday.
