Good evening Crockett ISD Parents, Staff, and Community,
Due to another round of freezing temperatures expected overnight, combined with wet road surfaces that are forecasted to ice over by morning, Crockett ISD will be closed on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.
While major highways and heavily traveled roads are expected to be treated and cleared first, many of our less-traveled and rural roads are likely to remain hazardous into the morning hours. A late start would not adequately address these safety concerns. Additionally, travel conditions will present challenges for a majority of our staff members who commute into Crockett during the early morning hours.
At this time, we believe conditions should improve and roadways should be largely cleared by approximately 1:00 p.m. tomorrow. However, the decision to cancel classes was not made lightly and was based solely on the safety of our students and staff.
Currently, students will not be required to make up this instructional time.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to prioritize the well-being of our Crockett ISD community. Please continue to stay safe, and we will provide updates as needed.

🍩 Donuts with Dad at Crockett Early Childhood! We had such a sweet morning celebrating the amazing dads and father figures in our students’ lives. Thank you to everyone who took the time to join us and make the day extra special. Crockett Early Childhood community
Congratulations to our Crockett High School band members, Joel Sanchez, Kylie Toch, Estrella Sosa, and Zach Martinez. These students auditioned and represented the Crockett Band at the region 21 concert and clinic on Saturday Jan 17, 2021. Joel Sanchez and Estrella Sosa ranked high enough to qualify for Area. On Jan 9th they auditioned at area placement for a seat at state. Our area encompasses the entire east side of our state. From Texarkana over to Dallas, down to the east side of Houston to Orange TX. Estrella ranked 4th chair and Joel ranked 11th chair. Not quite earning a placement high enough for the state band, but definitely a proud moment as their musical accomplishments represent their hard work and dedication as part of the Crockett Band.
